The Visitor Walkthrough: Every Scene From the Pond to the Bedroom

The Visitor is short, but its click order is not obvious and a few mistakes end the run. This is the route through all six scenes. Read one section at a time if you only want a nudge.

Scene 1: the shore

Click the tree branch so it drops into the water, then click it again so the worm crawls along it to the bank. The frog eats the worm; that is supposed to happen, the visitor takes the frog from the inside. Click the hole in the tree so the bird flies in, then click the stump where the bird was so it topples and the fishing rod can rest on it. Click the meteorite, click the visitor, then click the fishing reel several times. The line launches the creature toward the cottage.

Scene 2: the cottage door

Click the apple core on the step so the visitor eats it, then work the door knob and the cat. When the cat blocks the way, click the tree shadow in the top right corner to find the pipes running into the house.

Scene 3: the pipes

This is the one sequence puzzle in the game. Turn the coloured valves in order; each only helps if the previous one is already set, and steam pushes the creature back when the order is wrong. Turn them again until the route is clear, then return to the door and finish with the cat.

Scene 4: the kitchen

Lift the blender lid, add the oranges, run the blender, then click the sink so it overflows. Open the top drawer and take the knife. Work the light switches and the thermostat until the ceiling vent gives way and the visitor can climb into the ducts.

Scene 5: the bedroom

The vent opens over the bedroom. Click the fish bowl, then the bird cage and the bird, then the clothes on the chair. Each one is another meal and the visitor is much larger by the end of the room. The man in the bed wakes up.

Scene 6: the showdown

Three endings. Do nothing and the creature finishes the job. Click to send the man into the bathroom and there are two ways it can go: the gun, which kills the visitor, or the bathtub, which takes them both. Each ending is under a minute, so it is worth seeing all three.
